Travel Company Sued By Attorney General

An Internet based travel company is being sued by the attorney general, Jerry Brown, who has accused it being nothing more than a pyramid scheme, which benefits just a few people and leaves everyone else with nothing. Brown is seeking over twenty five million dollars in fines and restitution from the company, YourTravelBiz.com.
The company has recruited many thousands of members, by promising them that they can earn big bucks by setting up their own personal travel agency websites, according to a report. Last year the firm’s profits were up by around one hundred and seventy seven percent compared to the previous year.
Jerry Brown stated that the business was “immensely profitable to a few individuals on top and a complete rip-off for most everyone else.” He added: “Today’s lawsuit seeks to shut down the company’s unlawful operation before more people are exploited by the scam.”
However, officials from the firm have described the company as “a provider of Internet-based travel booking services for travel agencies and home-based independent representatives.”
