Rapper Settles Lawsuit Over Assault

Rap star P Diddy, formerly known as Puff Daddy, has settled a lawsuit that was filed against him, which accused him of assaulting another man from Los Angeles following an after Oscars party last year in star studded Hollywood.
The trial against the rapper had been due to commence in late May, but the star decided to settle out of court. The amount for which he has settled has not been disclosed. He was accused of assault and battery by the plaintiff, Gerard Rechnitzer, who said that the rapper pushed him into a cab and also pushed his girlfriend.
Diddy, real name Sean Combs, was accused of shouting “What the f–k you looking at, dude? I’ll smack flames out your ass!” The plaintiff claims that the singer then went mental. The plaintiff had approached Combs who was talking to the man’s girlfriend after the Oscars.
The plaintiff claims that Combs went berserk after his girlfriend refused to go to another bash with him. He also claimed that there were four witnesses that were able to support what had happened that night, which was the evening of February 25th 2007.
