Hollywood movie star and chart topping singer Jennifer Lopez has been awarded over half a million dollars following a lawsuit against her first husband. The lawsuit was filed over her ex-husband’s intentions to publish a book. According to reports, this was to be a tell-all book that would contain information about several affairs that Lopez allegedly had.
A decision on the award was made by a court ordered arbitrator, and over half a million was awarded to Lopez in relation to her lawsuit against former hubby Ojani Noa. The majority of the award, however, will be for attorney fees and arbitrations costs, with the star receiving just two hundred thousand dollars by way of damages.
According to Lopez there was a previous lawsuit settlement in place that prevented her ex-husband from publishing the book and any of its details. She claims that Noa breached and violated this order.
A decision was also made by the arbitrator that an injunction would granted against Noa, and that this would stop him from “criticizing, denigrating, casting in a negative light or otherwise disparaging or causing disparagement” his former wife.
