A model who acted in a video advertisement for a jewelery company has filed a lawsuit claiming that the advertisement looked pornographic and, therefore, affected the wholesome image that the had striven to maintain. The model has filed a lawsuit for five million dollars as a result of the video advertisement in which she starred.
The commercial is available to view on the Internet in a clip called ‘Rock her World’ and the model claims that the video shows her writhing and moaning, making it look as thought she is in some sort of pornographic advertisement. The clip shows the thirty seven year old model wearing the jewelery with some lingerie and stroking her neck and face.
The model stated that she did not “consent to or authorize the use of her likeness, picture, image or name to simulate a female having an orgasm or otherwise experiencing sexual pleasure.” The lawsuit also stated: “Indeed, the music to the commercial is bump-and-grind burlesque type music, which further provides the advertisement with a decidedly pornographic look, feel and sound.”
The lawsuit goes on to state that the model “has worked hard to project a wholesome image and has been extremely careful to avoid doing any work in the industry that would cheapen or tarnish her reputation.”
