A man who claims that he was forced to visit a brothel and engage in other sexually explicit activities has sued the advertising agency that he worked for. The man was creative director for the US division of the largest advertising company in Japan. He claims that when he complained about the activities that he was forced to engage in on work’s outings he was fired from his job.
The lawsuit has been filed in the UK District Court in Manhattan and seeks unspecified damages. According to the plaintiff, Steve Biegel, he and other employees were forced to engage in such activities by Toyo Shigeta, the chief executive officer of Dentsu Holdings USA.
However, the company stated that the plaintiff is making outrageous accusations just to get money to which he is not entitled. Company officials stated: “When Dentsu refused to yield to Mr. Biegel’s unreasonable demands, he made outrageous allegations which the company has refuted.” The firm will be fighting the lawsuit.
The plaintiff claims that on one occasion Shigeta duped him and colleagues into going to a brothel by taking them on an outing but not telling them where they were going. He then tries to force them to engage in sexual activities with women and called them ‘no fun’ when they refused.
