A hospital denies any wrongdoing after being charged with wrongful death in a lawsuit which was recently filed. Officials from the hospital state that staff did nothing wrong in treating the patient that unfortunately passed away. The patient, Linda Stewart, died in 2004, and her family have now filed a wrongful death lawsuit against the hospital.
The lawsuit has been filed against the Bozeman Deaconess Hospital, and officials state that their response to the lawsuit will be that the hospital did nothing wrong. The family is accusing the hospital of negligence after Linda Steward died from a flesh eating bacterial disease in 2004.
The lawsuit claims that Ms Steward went to the hospital suffering from headaches. After being injected with a painkiller, the patient began to experience severe pains in the area where the injection had been administered.
The family of the deceased have also stated that, although tests were carried out at that time, after Ms Stewart began to experience pain at the site of the injection, hospital staff did not diagnos the infection that resulted in the patient’s death.
