A further class action lawsuit has recently been filed in Miami against the manufacturer of Chinese drywall. This is thought to be one of several class action lawsuits that have now been filed over the Chinese drywall. In one of the earlier class action lawsuits that was filed in Sarasota there are now forty homeowners included in the lawsuit.
The Sarasota lawsuit was filed after one homeowner was forced to move out of her recently developed home, which was built by Taylor Morrison, because there were problems with the Chinese drywall.
Two classes of homeowners are now included in that lawsuit, including homeowners that have had their properties built by Taylor Morrison, and homeowners that have the Chinese drywall in their properties.
The lawsuits alleges product liability against Knauf Tianjin, which supplies the Chinese drywall to a number of distributors and suppliers. This includes USG, Rothchilt and L&W Supply. The report states that homeowners with the Chinese drywall in their homes experienced a range of problems, including failed air conditioners and corroding metal.
